Heidi has owned her own independent insurance agency for the last 33 years. Her belief in the development of a “professionally personal” relationship with each of her clients is reflected in the fact that she includes her home phone number on her business cards because, as she says, “I want my clients to be able to reach me at any time if they have any questions or concerns”.

Heidi is also in the Anthem Blue Cross Circle of Excellence and is ranked in the top 100 in the state of California out of 35,000 agents. As such, she prides herself on providing an unprecedented level of service to her clients by way of a direct line whenever they need assistance. Heidi and her staff, Melissa, happily assist clients with claims and membership and billing issues. Heidi shares her approach to service with all of her clients, telling each one to “never call the insurance company. Your problem is my problem and I work for you”.

Heidi’s personal statement to both her current as well as prospective clients is, “I will act as your personal Human Resources Department for insurance enrollment and be available as needed. I will perform any necessary deletions as well as answer any billing questions and you will always be able to direct your employees to me with any questions or concerns that they might have. During enrollment, I will take the time to thoroughly explain the available coverage plans and the options that they have based on benefits and costs. And with ObamaCare just around the corner, I will be able to provide quotes for individual and family health care policies in accordance with the new laws.”

Heidi is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and moved to California in 1990 to start her own insurance agency. She has been on Anthem’s Top 100 Agents list for the last 15 years and continues to prove her business philosophy – “Customer Service is Priority #1” – on a daily basis. Heidi has two daughters and loves horseback riding, rodeos, and playing a variety of sports.

 

Melissa is a native of Humboldt County, attended Fortuna Union High School, and graduated from Humboldt State University in 2002. She earned her insurance license the following year and has worked as an agent at Heidi Olsen & Associates since 2004. She is married and loves to bring her two dogs to work with her.

 

 

Karly is a native of Humboldt County, attended Fortuna Union High School, and graduated from Chico State University in 2017. She has worked in health, life, personal, and commercial insurance since 2018. Karly is Heidi’s oldest daughter and has worked with Heidi since 2020. Karly has many passions and hobbies outside of work, including a hobby farm and tallow based skincare line. She is married and is about to grow her family with Heidi’s first grandchild.
